  • At Wild Trails, you experience Georgia in a way you won’t find anywhere else. Our routes are personally designed and tested by us—Alexander and Birgit—in collaboration with family in Georgia. Each trail is packed with authentic adventures that take you far beyond the beaten path. As part of every trail, you’ll enjoy a traditional supra (feast) with delicious Georgian wine, a chacha evening by the campfire, and unique local experiences such as wine tasting or baking bread in a traditional oven. You’ll travel in small groups, enjoy warm local hospitality, and immerse yourself in a culture we are proud to share with you. Everything is safe and well-organized, so you can relax and fully enjoy an unforgettable experience.

  • This year is unique because it’s our very first! As a participant, you’re stepping into an exclusive adventure: discovering new, specially designed routes that have never been offered before. Since it’s a pilot, not everything may go perfectly—but that’s all part of a true adventure. Together, we’ll figure out what works, and your feedback will help us make Wild Trails even better. On top of that, you’ll be traveling at cost price this year, making it all the more special.

  • Our routes are designed for adventurous travelers with an average fitness level. Whether you’re hiking or exploring off-road with a 4x4, the focus is on enjoying the experience rather than extreme performance. We always ensure a good balance between challenge and relaxation, so you can enjoy the adventure at your own pace.

  • You’ll travel in a small, informal group of up to 12 people. This makes it easy to connect with new people while also allowing space for yourself if you need it. The atmosphere is relaxed, and everyone shares the same love for adventure and nature. Whether you enjoy sharing experiences with others or prefer a bit more time to yourself, there’s always room for your own travel style.

  • Guesthouses with Local Families
You’ll stay in authentic guesthouses run by local families, where you’ll be welcomed with warm hospitality and treated to homemade Georgian dishes. This offers a unique chance to experience Georgian culture up close and create meaningful connections with the people who call this country home.

    Comfortable Hotels
In Tbilisi and during certain parts of the journey, you’ll stay in more modern, ‘Western’-style hotels. These accommodations provide additional comfort to help you unwind before or after your adventures.

    Camping Under the Stars
During the camping portion of your trip, you’ll sleep under a canopy of stars in some of Georgia’s most stunning natural locations. Meals by the campfire make this experience even more special: simple yet flavorful dishes, sometimes prepared by your guide or cooked together with the group. If you prefer a quiet moment to yourself or with your travel companions, you’re welcome to enjoy your meal separately.

This combination of accommodations and dining ensures your adventure is both flexible and deeply personal, allowing you to immerse yourself in Georgia’s beauty and culture while tailoring the experience to your own needs.

  • The program is semi-flexible, as some guesthouses are booked in advance. During camping moments, however, there is more room to adjust the program to factors like weather conditions or spontaneous ideas from the group. On hiking trails, the program is less flexible due to fixed routes, but on the 4x4 trails and combo trails, there’s more freedom to shape the adventure as it unfolds.

We always strive to strike a balance between planning and spontaneity, ensuring you can make the most of your adventure.

  • This year is extra special: because it’s our pilot year, you’ll travel at cost price! It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy exclusive adventures at a reduced rate. The price includes transportation, accommodations, delicious meals, permits for national parks, and guidance from our experienced local guides. Along the way, we provide little extras: local snacks, surprise stops, and unique stories from our guides that make the adventure unforgettable.

For some trails, you can book additional extras, such as camping gear or special local activities.

Want to know the cost of your adventure? Check the individual trail pages for all the details. Flights, personal expenses, and travel insurance are not included and must be arranged separately.

  • For our hiking trails, sturdy hiking boots, comfortable clothing for various weather conditions, and a reliable daypack are essential. For the 4x4 trails, the focus is more on practical clothing and durable shoes, as well as a good pair of sunglasses or a hat for sunny days.

After registration, we’ll send you a detailed packing list so you’ll know exactly what to bring. Don’t have camping gear? No worries—you can rent it from us for the camping trails.

  • At Wild Trails, you can trust in a safe and well-organized adventure. Our guides are not only experienced but also professionally trained: they hold first aid certifications, are certified mountain guides, and are members of the Georgian Association of Mountain Guides. They know the routes inside out and are fully prepared to handle unexpected situations.

We use only well-maintained vehicles and reliable equipment. If weather conditions or other circumstances require adjustments, we’ll adapt the program—safety always comes first. This way, you can enjoy your adventure worry-free.

  • Yes, you can! Before departure, we’ll create a group chat so you can connect with your fellow travelers and guide. This is not only practical for discussing details but also a fun way to get a feel for the group dynamic. Your adventure starts even before you arrive in Georgia!
